Karen Cebula, MA, LPC, NCC
Karen Cebula is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. Karen primarily works with couples and adults but has years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. Karen sees clients for a variety of reasons, including marital concerns, life transitions/changes, female and male issues, PTSD, DID, depression, anxiety, attention/focus concerns, and grief/loss. Karen’s philosophy is that therapy can’t be one-size-fits-all and treatments should be customized to each individual client, couple or family. Self-awareness and discovery is key. Although Karen’s primary approach towards counseling is rooted in the Person-Centered Approach, she utilizes strategies and techniques from many other modalities including CBT, DBT, Family Systems, and Gestalt.

Karen graduated with her BA in Psychology from King’s College in Northeast Pennsylvania and received her master’s degree from Liberty University. Karen’s personal and professional background makes her uniquely equipped to work with the diverse needs of her clients. Before joining the practice in 2014, Karen spent almost 10 years working in a social service non-profit setting. There her focus was on families and individuals at risk of homelessness with an emphasis on clients managing HIV and AIDS. Being the spouse of a veteran, Karen can relate to the challenges military life places upon not only the soldiers but their families.
